How to Ask Listener Questions!

So! Have any burning questions? Send your Who’s, Why’s, What’s, Where’s, When’s, How’s, and If’s to LightsUpPodcast@gmail.com and include “Listener Question!” in the subject line. Please include your full name in the body of the email so we know who we can credit the question to, that is, if you’d like to be credited.

Want to have your voice featured on the podcast? Here’s what you can do. Record your question or comment as you’d like it to be presented, and attach it to the email with all the same stuff!

For those recording their own questions to send in, here’s what you gotta do. Make a recording. You can do this on your smartphone or your computer or if you’ve got awesome recording equipment, who am I to tell you how to make a clip.

If you are making the recording on your iPhone and are using the standard voice recorder app, it will work just fine. Just remember to please state your name and say “I am making this recording for use on Lights Up: The DC Theatre Podcast.” You can stop recording now. Select Share via Email and just remember to include all that necessary info in the subject line and body of the message.

If you are on your computer, a simple way to do this is to open Quicktime Player and select New Audio Recording from the pull-down menu. Once the player opens up, make sure you are in a relatively quiet atmosphere, hit the record button, and fire away. Now before you stop recording, please state your name and say “I am making this recording for use on Lights Up: The DC Theatre Podcast.” You can stop recording now.

Once you’ve stopped, you can simply save the file as an mp3 or an mp4 (as long as it is audio only), or from the pull-down menu, select Share via Email and I’m sure you get the rest.

That’s it!
